Lane's passion has always been photography and the arts. In the 1980's, after stints in fashion and film, she began a career as a commercial photographer and for 25 years had a successful studio in Manhattan, serving such high-end clients as Revlon and American Express.
But her other love was always the water.
Having spent her childhood on Florida's Gulf Coast, Lane felt right at home with the ocean and bays out East, and after many years of summering in Noyack, as well as living on a sailboat on Gardiner's Bay, she made what would be for her a natural transition: she moved to Sag Harbor and began a new career as a builder and developer.
A fulltime Hamptons resident for a decade, and currently a SVP in Sales at Prudential Douglas Elliman, Lane lives in a home she build and designed in Sag Harbor Village. But you'll usually find her walking the East End's beautiful beaches--covering the waterfront, camera in hand and ready to capture those moments when the natural world and the human one magically collide.
